Doors Open

Celebrate Doors Open Toronto with Civic Theatres Toronto!

The Sony Centre for the Performing Arts and the Toronto Centre for the Arts (TCA) are participating in Doors Open Toronto! For more information about visiting the TCA, please click here.

Visitors will see a multi-media exhibition documenting the construction and development of the performing arts centre over the course of its first 55 years. Experience the iconic venue through photographs and artifacts curated by Sony Centre's dedicated archivist. Participate in scheduled lectures with special guest speakers on the topic of the building's history and architecture.

Take a guided tour through the building and explore areas that are rarely accessible to the general public, including the stage and backstage areas. Creative activities will also be hosted in which families and children can participate.

Camelot, a digital installation by Don Hewak, unearths fleeting moments from the O’Keefe Centre in the early 1960s.
