SONY CENTRE PRESENTS
GIRLS ROCK CAMP TORONTO!
Girls Rock Camp is a day camp for youth ages 8-16. The mission of rock camp is to mentor girls, trans*, and gender non-conforming youth in music and self-expression while boosting self-esteem and instilling a sense of self-empowerment. In one week, and with the guidance of female role models, campers will form bands, write an original song, and perform live at the Sony Centre! Prior music experience is not required!
Youth between the ages of 8-16 by the start of camp may apply. Participants are selected by a committee seeking to establish a balanced and diverse camp population in relation to instrument, age, previous musical experience, economic status, geography and community. We anticipate receiving more applications than spots available, meaning we may not be able to accept every applicant who applies. Additional information about camp will be sent with acceptance letters.
Due to high demand, campers may only participate in one week per year. This allows as many campers as possible to experience Rock Camp!
Stay tuned for Summer 2018 camp dates!
