Through a partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Sony Centre offers SHSM certifications. High School Students from all corners of Southern Ontario have earned an Arts and Culture credit through workshops at the Sony Centre. As part of their certification, students attend a Sony Centre show!

These special lunch-hour presentations, hosted by the award-winning choreographer Nova Bhattacharya, are free and for all ages. Through demonstrations, performance, and conversation, we will discover how dance forms from all over the world are being woven into Toronto’s cultural scene.
Open Art Surgery
Following two hugely successful editions in 2014 and 2017, Breakin' Convention is returning to Canada and is partnering up with Civic Theatres Toronto to deliver another edition of Open Art Surgery. Open Art Surgery is a professional development opportunity for hip hop artists interested in making hip hop theatre. It combines an intensive week of training, mentoring and devising, culminating in the Open Art Surgery event.
Civic Theatre Toronto hosts summer day camps for children and youth ages 8-16! Spend a week with Girls Rock Camp Toronto or Regent Park School of Music’s Glee Camp! Rehearse in Sony Centre’s professional Rehearsal Hall, tour the backstage area, and headline in the final performance on our lobby stage!
